New wayfinding and interpretive signage has been developed and installed along the walking trails at Ellis Woods Park at in East Coventry Township, Chester County. The park is located at 855 Ellis Woods Road. Pottstown. Planning, design and development of these signs and trail markers resulted from a two-year project that involved a combination of public and private funding, and the hard work of township officials, staff and consultants. The directional signage assists trail users in navigating the trails within the park and the interpretive signage provides information about the natural resources and wildlife to be found in the park.
Ellis Woods park includes 71 acres of woods, meadows, wetlands and cultivated farmland behind the East Coventry Township building. More than 50 acres was purchased through an open space grant. The park also offers a playground area, pavilion, pickleball courts, paved loop trail and hiking trails. Come check it out!
