Two years ago, North Coventry Township installed a new ADA-accessible kayak launch at Riverside Park, making the Schuylkill River more accessible to residents and visitors throughout the Pottstown region. The next phase of the project focused on replacing the park’s existing concrete boat ramp, which was completed in September.

The project was supported by $191,512 in grant funding awarded to North Coventry Township through four funders. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s Boating Facility Program contributed $100,200, Chester County’s Preservation Partnership Program provided $41,312, the Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Planning Commission’s Minigrant Program contributed $25,000, and the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation provided an additional $25,000.

Together, these improvements help make Riverside Park a more accessible and welcoming place for residents and visitors to enjoy the Schuylkill River.
