Gerald Richards Park is a 30-acre park located on Buchert Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township. This community park offers soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, play equipment and a paved loop tail system as well as a concessions building with restrooms. In addition to residents and visitors, the park is used by local sports teams and clubs for games and matches.
The trail system connects to the Rolling Hills neighborhood as well as Coventry Christian School, and is within walking distance of the Lower Pottsgrove Township offices and other residential neighborhoods.
In 2022, grant funding received from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation was used to make improvements to the playing fields to improve storm water drainage, and the loop trail was repaired, resurfaced and realigned in places. ADA access was provided to the playing fields.
