Construction at East Coventry's Towpath Park, located at 1675 New Schuylkill Road, is now complete. The project added a new ADA-accessible riverside trail connecting to the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT), creating a scenic loop for walkers, runners, and cyclists. The playground was relocated, the swings were reused new playground equipment, including a musical feature, an activity wall was installed. Park updates also include an expanded 60-space parking lot, refreshed landscaping, and updated signage

These improvements were made possible through $866,000 in grant funding from Chester County, the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), the Commonwealth Financing Authority, the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation (formerly Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation), and a private donor, giving the community an upgraded, accessible recreational space to enjoy. Phase 2 improvements are anticipated for 2027 and include a new boat ramp and kayak launch. East Coventry Township thanks the funders for supporting the Phase 1 project.
