Pottstown came together on July 4 to celebrate Independence Day in a big way as the community marked America's 250th birthday with a full day of events, family fun, and an exciting fireworks finale. The celebration began bright and early with the annual Patriotic 5K, where runners and walkers of all ages kicked

off the holiday despite the early hot weather.

Following the race, spectators lined up on High Street for the Pottstown Fourth of July Parade, proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pottstown and the Switchpoint Foundation of Pottstown. Filled with colorful floats, local organizations, marching groups, and plenty of red, white, and blue, the parade brought the community together to celebrate both our nation's history and the people who make Pottstown special.

The festivities continued throughout the afternoon at the GoFourth! Festival at Memorial Park. Families enjoyed browsing a variety of community, food, and beverage vendors, while children stayed entertained with activities such as giant bubbles and interactive games. Live performances were also held throughout the day for attendees of all ages. Although a brief stint of stormy weather, as planned at 9:30 p.m., the sky above Pottstown lit up with a spectacular fireworks display, bringing the day to a memorable close.
