On Saturday, October 4th, the PARRC Foundation held its second annual Putt for Parks Mini Golf Tournament at the Manatawny Green Miniature Golf Course, located at 71 W. High Street in Pottstown. The tournament raises funds to support the PARRC Foundation's mission of improving the parks, trails and open spaces of the Pottstown area.

It was a beautiful morning that began with refreshments and conversation as teams mingled and prepared for a fun round of mini golf. We were delighted to see a familiar face — State Rep. Joe Ciresi — stop by to show his support before the tournament kicked off. Several teams competed this year, including one led by Pottstown Mayor Stephanie Henrick.

After every team finished, prizes were awarded for Best Team, Hole-in-One, Best Female Golfer, and Best Male Golfer. The latter category ended in a tie, leading to our first-ever sudden-death playoff.

We would like to thank all of the teams who came out to support the event, as well as our generous sponsors: Chester Valley Engineers; Wolf, Baldwin & Associates; Wisler Pearlstine, Attorneys at Law; Schuylkill River Greenways; Traffic Planning & Design; J.P. Mascaro & Sons; McCarthy Engineering Associates, Inc.; Complete Graphics, Inc.; and Brian Fisher, Wealth Enhancement Group. Without the support of all of you, this event would not have been possible.

We hope to see even more faces come out and support our next tournament!
