Park Spotlight: Towpath Park

Become more familiar with PARRC municipalities through park introductions.

Towpath Park, of East Coventry Township, is located at 1597 New Schuylkill Rd in Pottstown. The 15-acre park houses a pavilion, grills, a volleyball net, playground equipment, a boat launch and mini-dock, and a trail. Currently, the new trail section is being added and is not open for use. The access to the Schuylkill River at Towpath Park is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, boats, etc. The river access provides beautiful water views and is a great photo-op! Throughout the park, there are storyboard signs which provide information about the Schuylkill River canal and the history that is tied to it.

Hang out in the pavilion, play a game of volleyball, or enjoy the water views at Towpath Park. As always, the park is open from dawn to dusk.
