Upper Pottsgrove

Althouse Arboretum

Upper Pottsgrove's Althouse Arboretum hosted some spectacular fall-themed events this October. They began the month with a build-your-own scarecrow workshop, and ended with a spooky Haunted Woods event, and a not-so-spooky Family Night Hike through the Enchanted Forest. So whether you were looking for a big scare, or a magical adventure, Althouse Arboretum had you covered this season.

East Coventry

Fall Festival at Frick's Lock Village

East Coventry Township rang in the season with their annual Fall Festival at Frick's Lock Village. The festival was a perfect mix of history and Halloween. Tours of the historic Fricks Lock Village ran throughout the festival and included a trick-or-treat at each stop. Costumes were highly encouraged. The event also featured live music, refreshments, face painting and pumpkin decorating.

Halloween Parade

News of an up-in-the-air Halloween parade had Pottstown Residents on the edges of their seats this year. Luckily, with the help of some tremendous donations, the show could still go on! The community came together with short notice to put on a wonderful parade. To see some great pictures of the parade, check out this article in Travels with the Post.

Carousel's Spooky Bash

Carousel at Pottstown's Final Friday events are always a blast, and that is especially true of their Final Friday Halloween Bash. Visitors came in costumes to ride the carousel, visit local vendors, paint pumpkins, and even take photos with costumed baby goats!

Pottstown FARM's History and Haunts of Pottstown

Pottstown FARM hosted a spooky fundraiser that twisted local history and frightening tales into one fun event. The fundraiser consisted of a one-hour guided walking tour through Pottstown, highlighting local points of interest and historically haunted sites. The tour ended with a "toast with ghosts" and some small bites at the Elks Club. Funds raised from the purchase of tickets for this event supported FARM's mission to "provide access to fresh, locally grown, agricultural products and handmade artisan goods to the Pottstown Region" and those who are underserved in the region through a variety of programs and incentives.
